Arinsal Ski Resort – General Information

Arinsal ski resort is definitely a winner when it comes to price but that doesn’t mean quality is compromised.  Arinsal boasts a fantastic ski school, many of whom are native english speaking instructors, it’s easy to see why its a firm favourite with families and beginners.

For beginners the nursery slopes are gentle with easy magic carpet lifts and stunning views too.   Once you have mastered the art of stopping and some turns you can progress to the confidence building green and blue runs.

Intermediates have the choice of slopes in both Arinsal and Pal with its long reds for practising those turn.  Snowboarders will love the Arinsal snowpark with all its features.

Ski rental shops are located in both the village and at the top of the village gondola/chairlift by the start of the ski slopes.

Anyone taking group lessons will start on a Monday and there is a choice of 3, 4 or 5 days with lessons in the morning and afternoon.  Private lessons are also available.

Ski packages in Arinsal are great value with prices starting from 134€ for a full children’s ski pack which includes a Lift pass and ski and boot hire for 6 days with 5 days ski lessons.

The village itself is fairly long with hotels, ski shops, bars and restaurants the whole length and the atmosphere in the village very friendly.  There is a wide selection of places to eat and the nightlife is lively and inexpensive.

Accommodation

With self catering apartments and hotels to choose from there is something to suit all budgets.

The beautiful Princesa Parc**** and Diana Parc ***** Complex is a great choice if you are looking for quality accommodation.   It has an array of facilities including a stunning wellness and spa.  It even has its own bowling alley which will keep the kids entertained.

Don’t worry though if you are on a tighter budget there are some great family run hotels that won’t break the bank and you can’t go wrong with the Xalet Verdu Hotel **** which is a firm favourite with our regular customers.

The Ushuaia Mountain Hotel **** and the Hotel Patagonia **** have great locations too right at the bottom of the chairlift taking you directly to ski school.

Arinsal Family Favourite

So why is Arinsal resort a family favourite?

There is a kindergarten based at the ski school which will take children from 1 years old to 3 years old in the Baby Club.   From 4 years old the children can go in the Snow Garden which can include ski lessons with the ski school too.   The ski school is very family friendly and there are often dedicated childrens classes.  This all means the parents have piece of mind to go off skiing knowing the children will be well looked after.

The restaurants and bars are all family friendly and everywhere has children’s menus and great value prices too.

For those who want a break from the the slopes,  there is a spa nearby in Andorra La Vella.  Other activities suitable for families are available in the resort such as toboggans and husky dog sledding.

We love Arinsal as a resort!  It has the perfect combination of sunny weather, safe skiing, fantastic ski school and a large selection of hotels and apartments.   All together Arinsal ski resort is a family favourite.

Arinsal Nightlife

The resort also has a very lively nightlife scene with some great bars including El Derby Irish bar, Hunters, Surf, El Cabin, El Moli and Cisco’s.  There is a daily Apres ski scene before most people will either head back to their hotel or a restaurant for food before the action all starts again later in the evening.  Although it’s generally regarded as a beginner and family resort,  Arinsal is actually one of the livelier ski resorts around and is great for everyone from young & lively, couple and families.  Arinsal is also host to the Arinsal Icebreaker Party in March
