Andorra has seen some great snowfall over the last month which means the slopes are in perfect condition for the remainder of February and the half term holidays. Slopes are 100% open including the 210 kms of slopes in the Grandvalira area alone. An average of 2.5 metres of snow has fallen over the last month with 65cm recorded in just one day recently.

The big news this winter is that Arcalis will now come under the Grandvalira skipass and for 15 euros a ski away day bus will whisk you to this great resort which is a welcome addition to the vast ski area. For intermediates and advanced skiers and boarders this is a great chance to explore further afield.

Ski World Cup Finals

March will see Andorra take to the world stage when it hosts the World Cup finals for the very first time between the 11th and 17th March. All the world’s best skiers will take to the slopes in Soldeu and El Tarter to show off their skills and speed and there will be a full programme of activities taking place during the event.

…and that’s not all – at the end of the month the 15th Total Fight Masters of Freestyle will take place in the El Tarter snowpark with all the best riders from the international scene attending. The snowpark has been extended and improved over the last few years to ensure it has the best facilities whatever your level of freestyle skiing and snowboarding.

If you are thinking about where to head for some March sunny ski time, why not consider this amazing ski country – there are resorts to suit everyone from families to groups of friends and ski areas for beginners to advanced – it really has something for everyone with undoubtedly the best ski schools anywhere in Europe.

For anyone looking further ahead for next winter – we will be launching our first Winter 2019/2020 prices next week and we will be taking bookings so if you want to book early and take advantage of our early bird offers please get in touch.
