Families in Andorra

Posted in Andorra Families by Steve Barron on 1st December 2019

Looking for a family friendly ski holiday then Andorra is hard to beat.   The ski stations have worked incredibly hard over the last few years to introduce facilities that make a family ski holiday better than ever.

The childcare facilities are pretty amazing with Nursery facilities and Snowgardens where little ones can learn to ski in complete safety.     There are even dedicated ski areas for children up to 12 years old with fun characters like fairies and goblins along the circuits including snowy forests and circus themed areas.

Affordability is also key and there are some great offers on full ski packs in both Grandvalira and Vallnord resorts including lift passes, ski and boot hire and ski lessons for children.

For children between 1 and 4 years old there are dedicated nurseries on the mountain which are run by the local ski schools (ages vary between the stations) but for little ones then Arinsal is your best bet where they take babies from 1 year old.    If the children are slightly older then both the Vallnord and Grandvalira resorts have nurseries that will take children from 2 years old.

From 4 years old the Snowgardens are great in Arinsal, Soldeu and El Tarter and will introduce them to the sport of skiing in the safe hands of specialist instructors.     Group lessons are available too and from 5/6 years old depending on the resort they will be placed in classes according to their ability.

After skiing there are some great fun things to try out and both Arinsal and Soldeu have a great evening for all the families with their tubing sledding straight after the skiing day has finished.

We love Andorra for families and we are sure you will too!
