Best Time to Go On A Ski Holiday To Andorra

If you are in the process of booking a holiday, there is always a lot to think about and with skiing even more so. Not only do you have all that cold weather equipment to think about, you also have a limited window for the best weather. So with this in mind here’s some advice on the best times to go on a ski holiday to Andorra.

When does Andorra get the most snow?

The ski season in Andorra really gets under way near Christmas week and continues through to the end of March which are not surprisingly the times when you can expect the most snow to fall. The altitude of the ski resorts and Andorra in general means that it is a safe bet for snow right through the ski season. If you’re lucky you may be able to squeeze in a ski holiday as late as Easter week before temperatures start to rise. October and November as with other countries in Europe tend to be the more dismal months where there is a lot of rain and the only real reason to visit is for the shopping.

When is the best time for a family ski holiday in Andorra?

The answer to this is it depends on what your family want. If it’s lots of events and activity beyond skiing, then Christmas and New Year are wonderful times to visit when everything is lit up and there are various parades and celebrations happening. February is the busiest month for tourists and for those who prefer it quieter, January is the best bet when most people have returned to work following Christmas and New Year. Of course if you’re going as a family this may not be an option outside of school holidays.

When is the cheapest time to book?

Again when demand is low in January and towards the end of the ski season in March, you will tend to get the best deals and the biggest discounts on hotel stays. Booking early is likely to save you more money and there are plenty of offers if you are travelling to Andorra as a family including free spaces for kids.
